What’s Unique About FPM’s Lab Immersion Experiences?

Todays health & performance specialist is faced with the enigma of information overload. Join FPM to collaborate in group discussions & labs where we level-up together to implement individualized Best Practices Game Plans. We teach each other since each of us works with different populations & in different environments. You’ll teach each other, engage in group discussions & workshop constraints-based gamified & partner movement snacks.

Learning Objectives

  • The individualized gap/needs analysis
  • Creating a measurable dashboard of landmarks
  • Flare-up & plateau management
  • Testing, monitoring & the building a sport (activity) specific functional envelope

Goals

Today’s health care field has fallen into the negative health trap of over-diagnosis and over-treatment. This drives a transactional relationship about our procedures & methods instead of about the specific needs & values of the person we serve.

Our aim is bring together a community of trainers, coaches & clinicians to promote & support positive health.

Join us to workshop how to create a Functional Dashboard of rehab & training landmarks that are personalized to your client’s Key Performance Indicators. This creates “buy in” for relatable programming so we can achieve consistent participation in physical activity. We’ll be teaching you how to measure both the floor & ceiling for specific qualities such as –

  • Zone 2 training (learn the metrics & methods)
  • A sarcopenia test battery
  • The optimal ratio of aerobic & strength training to build work capacity & metabolic flexibility
  • A “ground up” approach to building a foundation in lower quarter strength
  • A 360° approach to hip resilence, capacity & power
  • & more

We’ll discuss how to surf the force-velocity curve to make training more individualized. Out goal is to lower biological age so life span doesn’t outrun health span. Our positive health orientation finds a silver lining in the pain encounter so as to motivate sustainable lifestyle/behavior change for your training or rehab clients.
